The Best Guarantee of Your Diving Experience in Drake Bay

From 10 years old with the PADI Junior Open Water certification, and from 8 years old with a Discover Scuba experience in shallow water. Adult certification starts at 15. There is no upper age limit. Book a Discover Scuba experience.

Isla del Caño is home to white-tip reef sharks, manta rays, sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels, and large schools of fish. During humpback whale season (Jul–Oct and Dec–Apr), you may spot whales from the boat. Explore our diving experiences.

No experience needed for our Discover Scuba sessions — our PADI instructors guide you every step of the way. For certified divers, fun dives are open to Open Water level and above. Start here if you are a beginner.

Diving is available year-round. Visibility peaks from December to April (dry season), with calm seas and up to 20m visibility. From May to November, plankton blooms attract manta rays and whale sharks — among the most spectacular diving conditions anywhere. See our dive packages.

The boat trip from Drake Bay to Isla del Caño takes approximately 45–50 minutes. We depart early morning to make the most of sea conditions. All equipment is prepared, transported, and rinsed by our crew — you just show up ready to dive.

All dive packages include full scuba equipment, boat transfer, PADI-certified guide, and national park entrance fees. Our 2-tank dive is $155 and 3-tank dive is $210. Everything is handled by our team so you can focus entirely on the dive. View full details.

For Discover Scuba, you complete a PADI medical declaration form on arrival. For certification courses, a medical certificate may be required if you have pre-existing conditions (heart, asthma, diabetes). If in doubt, contact us before booking and we will advise you.
