The tour begins with a boat ride from Drake Bay to the mouth of the Sierpe River, where the lush mangrove forest begins. From there, you’ll navigate upriver through its peaceful channels, surrounded by one of Costa Rica’s most important wetland ecosystems.
As you travel deeper into the Sierpe mangroves, you’ll have the chance to spot aquatic birds, crocodiles, and mammals native to this unique habitat. The tour is a calm and scenic experience ideal for nature lovers and birdwatchers.
The return trip begins around 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM, arriving back in Drake Bay by approximately 1:00 PM, where a delicious lunch awaits you.
